Obituary of Olivia Shane Delaney
Olivia Shane Delaney died December 9th, suddenly and while fighting to live. Born in fitting, high profile fashion on February 29th 1992, she was as special as Leap Day her entire life. Possessed of immense talent and a bursting love for every one of us.
Olivia’s life overflowed with musical, visual, and written art. Her creative, joking, collaborative energy filled any space she occupied. Growing up, if she was even mildly ill the whole house would feel different, missing her constant voice, motion, and projects. Any idea worthy of her attention would be realized, fully and unfailingly.
Olivia’s struggle for mental health occupied too much of her adult life, overwhelming her with a despair loved ones tried so very hard to reach through. And though its toll could impose distance, her struggle could not make her a stranger. Their Olivia was always there.
Olivia is survived by partner Hannah Delaney, parents Heidi and Peter Vader, brother Leo Vader, grandmothers Barbara Hershleder and Kathy Vader, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by uncle Paul Vader and aunt Leah Vader.
