Obituary of Raiden Richard Davis

Our darling Raiden Richard Davis’ short life ended peacefully on November 29, 2023. He was only 20 months old. He left behind a loving mother, father, sisters, grandmas, grandpas, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will all miss him so very much.

Raiden, known as “Ray Ray” or “Bubba,” was born on March 25, 2022. Ray Ray was so loved; he was the only boy in a sea of girls. He was beautiful and perfect. He was so loving, and he brought so much joy to everyone he met. His smile lit up every room and his little giggles could put a smile on your face. Ray Ray had a personality that commanded the room. He was a goofy happy little boy that loved to run circles around the kitchen island and get into everything he could. He had such an infectious laugh that came from deep in his belly. He loved the water; his absolute favorite thing was to splash, and he loved to swing. He loved his big sisters, and his big sisters loved him.

We will miss seeing him play with his sisters, his big beautiful blue eyes staring at us, and his mommy and daddy cuddles with fuzzy blankets. Raiden touched the lives of so many; our beloved, happy little boy, the light of our lives leaves us smiling through our tears.

Ray Ray’s loved ones have ensured that his legacy will live on through organ donation, and through this generous decision, Raiden will touch countless others as the family members of those who received his donated organs will be forever impacted by this selfless gift. Raiden was and always will be our Superhero!

We are so grateful for the Bloomington Police Department, the Allina EMS first responders, and the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital doctors and nurses that worked tirelessly to help our sweet boy. Thank you to the child life specialists, social workers, and LifeSource liaisons that supported and comforted our family during this time. We cannot thank you enough for the compassion you showed us.

Raiden will be deeply missed by his parents Christy and Blake Davis, his big sisters Aysia and Tegan; his Grandmas Christine Davis, and Nita Bjerke; his Grandpa John Davis (Alicia); his Aunts and Uncles; Kayla Davis, Eloise Davis, Emmarie Davis, Erilynn Davis, Shelley and Eric Arndt, Greg and Patricia Bjerke, Lizabeth and Mike Benesh, his cousins Alex, Cameron, and Thabiso; his Great Grandmas Sue Collins and Karen Davis; his Great Grandpas Chuck Davis (Ingrid) Gerald Bjerke and many other precious family members.

He is preceded in death by his Grandpa, Gregory Bjerke and Great Grandpa, Richard Collins.

A memorial service to remember Raiden’s brief but beautiful life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, with a 2:00 p.m. visitation and a 3:00 p.m. service at Transfiguration Lutheran Church located at 11000 France Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55431.
