Obituary of Pamela Jean Hanson
Pamela “Pam” Jean Hanson 64, of Superior, WI formerly of Duluth, MN passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2016.
Pam was born on Sept 18, 1951 in Duluth, MN to Lewis & Dorothy (Krouse) Lancour. Pam spent her life in the twin ports where she met her husband of 47 years, Greg Hanson.
Pam was preceeded in death by her parents, Lewis & Dorothy Lancour, and a sister, Mary Ann Westlund.
Pam is survived by her husband Greg and four children; Pam (Mike) O’Konek, John (Tina) Hanson, Glen (Heidi) Hanson, Melinda (Richard) Gajewski, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. A brother, George (Kathy) Lancour, and a sister, Patricia Scheer. Many nieces and nephews.
Pam was a loving and caring person and enjoyed her work as a nursing assistant for many years. Pam made many lifelong friendships doing a job she loved. She loved spending time with her family and friends, taking care of people, playing bingo, crocheting and attending Tuesday “girl” nights. She had a heart of gold and a lot of spunk and loved her family and friends dearly.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held, Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10 am with visitation starting at 9am at the MN Cremation Society (4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN).
