Obituary of Rodney A. Mattson

Rodney A. Mattson, 62, of Proctor, passed away June 10, 2016, in Essentia Health Care. Rodney was born April 16, 1954, in Duluth to Walter and Beverly Mattson. Rodney graduated from Proctor High School in 1972. He married Julia on Oct. 18, 2002 in Superior. Rodney worked for Cragin Machine Shop in Superior for over 20 years. Rodney was preceded in death by his father Walter. Survivors include his wife, Julia; his mother, Beverly; two daughters, Lindsay and Lori Mattson; one step son, Mike Moss; one brother, Larry Mattson; two sisters, Janet Mattson and Karen Unger; one granddaughter Alexandria Hewitt; two nephews, Harrison and Matthew Klobuchar. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave Duluth. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
