Obituary of Joel Stephen Mikres

Joel Stephen Mikres, aged 81, passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2023.

Joel was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. His greatest love was his family. He was immensely proud of his daughters, Andrea and Katie, and grandchildren, Maddie, Kate, Joey, and his son-in-law, Harald.

Joel was a prominent and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and celebrated 41 years of sobriety on August 13th. His dedication to AA, even after facing health issues in 2021, reflect his resilience and unwavering determination. He had a significant impact on many people that will never be forgotten.

His legacy of love, support, and care will be cherished and remembered by all those whose lives he touched. His commitment and his love for his family, and his dedication to helping others serve as a testament to the kind of person he was.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 30th, from 3:30 - 6:30 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435.
