Obituary of Howard Leland Nelson

Nelson, Howard Leland "Howie" age 89, passed away June 12, 2016. Preceded in death by wife Janis JoAnn. Survived by daughters Karen Herrick and Kathy (Kurt) Hunter and grandchildren Gretchen Herrick and Joe (Sami) Herrick. He was a wise and caring man, who loved his family deeply. His positive outlook and sense of humor brought joy to those around him. Memorial service Thursday 10:30 am at Spirit of Hope UMC, 7600 Harold Ave., Golden Valley. Visitation one hour before the service. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fort Snelling Memorial Rifle Squad or Spirit of Hope UMC.
