Obituary of Cleo Thomas

Thomas, Cleo (Bonniwell)

Age 80, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away Nov 16, 2023.  Cleo was born in Hutchinson, MN, but her passion to see the world landed her a job with Braniff International Airways as a flight attendant, which brought her to Dallas TX, then San Francisco CA . 

When Braniff was chartered by the military, her travels took her to Vietnam and Japan.   Through these trips she met John, a handsome Air Force pilot, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. In CA, they started their family, and eventually moved back to Minnesota. 

Cleo had many interests including traveling, cooking, and decorating.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.  Cleo was a classy, kind, and caring person, accepting of all.  She will be forever missed and loved deeply. 

Preceded in death by parents Milan and Clara Bonniwell, of Hutchinson MN. Survived by husband, John; daughter Kristina; brother Bradley; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  A Celebration Cleo’s remarkable life to be held at a later date, to be determined.
