Obituary of Clay Widell

Clay Widell, 41, of Superior, WI passed away after a tough battle of cancer at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN on Friday October 27th, 2023.

 

Clay was born on February 14, 1982 to Richard “Rick” and Jill Widell. Clay graduated from Duluth Central High school in 2000. He was a loving and devoted father to his two beautiful daughters Tiarra and Torrin, who were the most important part of his life. Clay was an active Father with his daughters’ sports from coaching softball to participating in Father/Daughter dance recitals. Clay enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whether it was joking around at the table during family gatherings, taking his nephews to the movies or doing puzzles with his wonderful girlfriend, Audrina.

 

Clay will be missed by family, friends and all who were blessed with his kind spirit and dry sense of humor.

 

Clay was preceded in death by Cory Widell (Brother), Gordon “Gordy” and Pearl Widell (Grandparents), Lawrence and Janet Bourassa (Grandparents). Clay is survived by his loving Father and Mother, Richard & Jill Widell, Brother Richard “Ricky” (Andrea) Widell, Daughters Tiarra and Torrin, Sisters Desiree Shevchuk and Jada Bourassa, Aunt Julie Myers (Bourassa), his better half Audrina Gilbertson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
 

We would like to let a few people know how appreciated you are by the family for all you did during this hard time:

 

1st - Audrina for sticking around through thick and thin no matter how hard he tried to chase you away. You are an amazing person and truly Clay’s better half.

 

2nd- St. Luke’s Hospice for all their dedication, time, support, and kind words.

 

3rd- Keith RN with St. Luke’s Hospice, special thank you for everything not only for Clay but also for supporting our family in such a hard time.
