Obituary of Lorraine Ella Hage
Lorraine Ella Hage, 83, of Cotton, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, with her family by her side.
Lorraine was born on March 25, 1933 in Lake Nebagamon, to Howard and Viola (Norrell) Morris.
The family moved to the Cotton area and Lorraine graduated from Cotton High School in 1951. From an early age she worked in the Wilbert Cafe. She also worked as a teacher's aide in the Cotton School. Aside from raising her family, Lorraine knitted many socks and mittens for her family and others in the community. She was also a fantastic seamstress who made numerous articles of clothing for her family. Throughout the years she filled the house with the comforting smells of homemade bread and cookies.
Lorraine was a member of the Cotton Community Church and Ladies Aid and was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 3044. In her retirement she wintered in South Texas with her husband and took many trips throughout the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter; and siblings, Ray, Edna and Richard.
Lorraine is survived by husband, Kenneth of 65 years; children, Diane Howdahl, Ronald (Carol), Dawn and Carolyn Hage; three grandchildren, Jodi, Christy and Randy; four great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Hailey, Caitlin and Ze; siblings, Laverne, Pearl, Tom and Donald; along with many extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the East Range Essentia Hospice Staff for their compassion and care and to all of the family and friends who stopped by the house.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, June 25, 2016, in the Cotton Community Church 7566 Arkola Rd. Cotton.
