Obituary of Wendell William Lawin

With heavy hearts we share that Wendell William Lawin, 79, passed away peacefully on November 6 surrounded by family.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter Cassandra, son-in-law Kevin, cherished granddaughter Cora, his two brothers Mark and Craig, nephew Matt, niece Stacy, former wife Debbie, and many other long-time friends.  He reunites in heaven with his parents Bill & Evelyn, and his brother Gary with wife Sandy.

A Navy veteran and entrepreneur, Wendell's dynamic personality and firm opinions lit up any room. He loved spending his days reading, the thrill of fishing and hunting, the companionship of his dogs, and savoring a glass of red wine.  Most of all, he treasured his role as a Father and Grandfather. Wendell’s larger-than-life spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

A private service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery where Wendell will be laid to rest.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the American Heart Association. (www.heart.org)
