Obituary of John Dexter Hanson

John Dexter Hanson passed away peacefully November 2nd, 2023 in the home of family while under hospice care.

His life was a tapestry of achievements, passions and service. He was born July 26th, 1954 to Orvis and Ann Hanson in Richfield, MN. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and will remain in our hearts forever.

Preceded in death by parents. He is survived by his brother James Hanson (Susan), sisters Carol Friedman (Mark) and Gloria Hanson. Nephews and nieces, James Hanson Jr (Brenda), Deanna Rodewald (Jason), Matthew Hanson (Andie), Ryan Friedman (Amy), and Jennifer Friedman. Great nephews and nieces, Michael Hanson (Maddy), Jennifer Hanson, Haley Rodewald, Hannah Rodewald, Lilly Hanson, and Jack Friedman. Great, great nephew, Kaiser Rodewald with a great, great niece on the way.

Funeral arrangements will be announced next spring.
