Obituary of Lillian R. Olund

Lillian R. "Lil" Olund, 86, of Makinen, Minn., formerly of Duluth, Minn., slipped away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Essentia Health. Lil was born on July 12, 1929 in Duluth to Henry and Emma (Nelson) Tweith. Lil was a compassionate and hardworking person who cherished her family and friends and the time they spent together. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Bud. Lil is survived by her husband Robert; sons Bob (Susan), John, Ron (Carmen) and Don (Mary Rosas); grandchildren Ron and Oriette; sister Doris Anderson; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family thanks Essentia Health for the extraordinary care they provided Lil. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service Monday, June 20, in St. Joseph Catholic Church-Gnesen, 6110 Church Road, Duluth MN 55803.
