Obituary of Roberta L Dickson

Roberta L. (Prtine) Dickson, age 74, died Sunday, October 29, 2023, at her home in Maple Grove, MN, surrounded by her family.

Roberta Lee Dickson was born to Robert and Joyce (Bussey) on June 5, 1949, in Hibbing, MN.  She grew up in Pool Location and was a lifelong resident of Hibbing, MN until she moved to Maple Grove, MN in 2021.  She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1967 and worked for over 40 years as a nursing assistant at Leisure Hills Health Center and Fairview Range Medical Center.

Roberta is survived by her three sons; Todd (Steven) Dickson, Maple Grove, MN, Timothy Dickson, Hibbing, and Aaron Dickson, Fresno, CA. 8 Grandchildren; Ally, Dallia, Phoenix, Christian, Noah, Claudia, Carter, and Marley; 5 Siblings: Irene Larson, Mt. Iron, Richard (Sue) Prtine, Fredrick (Alice) Prtine, Lynette Prtine and Tricia Prtine all of Hibbing; and her beloved cats Abby and Fluffy.

Roberta loved animals, traveling, shopping, gardening, spending time at the lake on the boat fishing, and watching sports, especially hockey, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Prtine in 1988 and Joyce Prtine in 2006.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to Range Regional Animal Rescue in Roberta’s name.

At Roberta’s request, private family services will be at a later date.
