Obituary of Rena J. Knutson

Rena J. Knutson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 26th, 2023. She was born on August 22, 1953 in Minneapolis to Bert and Gretta Zumberge.

Rena had a zest for adventure, laughter, and was a bright light to so many. She loved spending time on the North Shore of Lake Superior, cooking copious amounts of food for all she met, modifying recipes, canning her “famous” salsa, or just relaxing on the deck at home. 

Rena is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Gretta Zumberge, her brother Brian Zumberge, and her in-laws Merle and Eunice Knutson.

Rena is survived by her husband Craig, children Jacob (Britni) Knutson, Jessika (Mike) Brekken, and her three granddaughters Ivy, River, and Madalyn.

She is also survived by Judy (Gary) Nelson, Gary (Sue) Zumberge, and Vicky Zumberge,  along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Celebration of Rena’s life will be on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at NorthCross Church 19400 Ipava Avenue, Lakeville, MN 55044. Visitation at 9am and Service at 10am.
