Obituary of David Patrick Brandstrom
We are deeply saddened to announce that David Patrick Brandstrom of Plymouth, MN, was tragically taken from those who love him on October 4, 2023, at the age of 37 after battling an extremely brief illness complicated by an acute onset of leukemia. He fought so hard and so bravely, and all the nurses loved him, which I’m sure everyone can believe.
David was born in 1986 and spent his youth living in South Maplewood, MN. He loved to play and watch sports, especially soccer. He loved life, and he knew how to live it well. He was fortunate to marry the love of his life, BriAnna Maxam, and was surprisingly good at adulting, considering he was the youngest of 9 children. Although there are no words to adequately describe our love for David, here it goes: He was an adoring and cherished husband and kitty papa. He was a dedicated and loving foster to the 48 kittens he helped heal and care for. He was an exceptional and thoughtful uncle, cousin, and son. His sisters and brothers adored their little brother. It is no exaggeration to say David was charismatic and hilarious and was loved by his good friends and all who had the good fortune to know him. He was one of a kind, and a light in the lives of everyone he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 21, from 1 pm to 5 pm at The Cremation Society of Minnesota – Edina location for all who want to celebrate his amazing life. We would love to hear your best David story or memory to help keep David’s torch burning strong. The Eulogy will start at 2 pm, and some food will be set out at 3 pm.
In lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to the following rescues in his honor:
Ruff Start Rescue – This is where he and his wife fostered their kittens through and has a huge place in their heart.
Save a Fox Rescue – David’s favorite animal was a fox, he called them kittypuppies. His wife had a surprise visit planned for him at the end of October.
