Obituary of Jennelle Marie Potter
In Loving Memory of Jennelle Marie Potter
Jennelle was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 78. Born on March 23, 1945 in Worthington, MN she resided in Dayton, MN until moving to memory care in 2021. She will forever be remembered for her tenacity and her love of family and gardening.
Jennelle's quick wit brought laughter to all who knew her. Her dry humor was often unexpected as she had a knack for finding humor in even the most mundane situations.
For decades she fought various illnesses, demonstrating her strength and resilience as she survived cancer and raised three children. Her unwavering determined spirit was an inspiration to all who witnessed her battle with Parkinson's disease in her last few years. Even in the worst of times she was never one to complain.
When she was younger, Jennelle was actively involved in the church choir. At home she would play guitar at home and sing songs to her young children. Her involvement in worship was a testament to her faith which remained strong throughout her life.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all friends and family who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. Your presence and kind words have provided comfort and solace.
In honor of Jennelle's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Contributions made in her name will support the preservation and enhancement of this beautiful natural sanctuary that she loved.
Jennelle's absence will be deeply felt, but she will forever remain in our hearts. She is survived by her three children, Shannyn (and husband James), Christopher and Kari, her two granddaughters Lilly and Lucy, and her two siblings, her brother Darrell and sister Mina. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
