Obituary of Mark Allen Plotnik
Mark Plotnik 66, of Cloquet, MN died at home of natural causes on 10/1/23.
He was born to Gary and Thelma Plotnik. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School. Mark joined the Army after high school and served his country at home and abroad. He later worked in food service until he retired. Mark enjoyed a good word game, and he was an avid reader of history and science fiction. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Betty. Mark also cared about animals and volunteered his time with Friends of Animals. “Uncle Mark” will be remembered as a kind and gentle man. His easy smile, cheerful nature and great sense of humor will be dearly missed.
Preceded in death by his father Gary Plotnik and his sister Jill Plotnik.
Survived by his mother Thelma “Nikki” Plotnik, brothers Dean Plotnik (Linda), Drew Plotnik; niece Jill Nelson (Dave), nephews Max Plotnik (Katie), Ben Plotnik (Melissa Phillips) and many grand nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held in the spring of 2024.
