Obituary of Thomas L. Bacigalupo
Thomas L. Bacigalupo, 77, of Lino Lakes peacefully passed away surrounded by family on July 15th 2023 after a short battle with cancer and congestive heart failure. Born in St. Paul, MN to Joseph and Frieda Bacigalupo, Tom attended Johnson High School where he was on the gymnastics team. He started dating his wife, Judie, when they were in middle school, and they wed while he was serving in the Army during the Vietnam war. They were married for 28 years, until Judie passed away at age 49, and had one daughter, Natalie. He worked tirelessly for many years as a sheet rocker to provide for his family.
Tom was a loving and supportive father to daughter, Natalie (husband Justin), and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Keegan and granddaughter, Tannyr (husband Bryant). He is survived by sister Mary (husband Tony) and brother Paul (wife Marcie). He was predeceased by his wife Judie, mother Frieda, father Joseph, brother Harold (Red), brother Donald (wife Sadie).
Tom had many joys and passions. When younger, he enjoyed reading and listening to rock and roll music especially Elvis. Later in life he came to love watching movies and sports (especially baseball), and playing poker. He enjoyed playing kittenball, bowling, fishing in Canada, cooking, watching his grandson and granddaughter’s sporting events and grandson’s orchestra concerts, and golfing with good friends. He made an excellent daytime caregiver for his grandson for many years which lead to a truly special bond between them.
A celebration of life open house will be held at Mancini’s Char House on Thursday, October 26th starting at 4:30 pm where an Italian style buffet dinner will be served in the lounge area. Please RSVP to Natalie (phone 612-716-7402) if you are able to attend to plan for food.
