Obituary of Margaret Ah Choo Lim

Margaret Ah Choo Lim died unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2016. Margaret (aka Chai Yin) was a waitress at China Panda in Lindstrom. Margaret is survived by two brothers, two sisters and one son in Malaysia, and daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter in the United States. Margaret was born October 7, 1960 in Kluang, Malaysia. She married Chin Quet Lim in 1978. Widowed in 1988, she continued to support her family while working in the retail industry. She managed and eventually owned her own gift shops before moving to the US, in 2004 to accompany her daughter and son-in-law, and loved spending time with her granddaughter Mira, who was born in 2007. She gained her US citizenship in 2015. Born and raised in a Buddhist family, Margaret accepted Christ into her life after marrying into the Chin family, and continued to attend Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom. Margaret maintained close relationships with her family-in-law. Margaret was a breast cancer survivor. Margaret worked as a host and waitress at China Panda restaurant in Lindstrom since 2010. She was always seen with a smile and loved to greet and hug her many friends she made over recent years. In her free time, she enjoyed garage sales, making handmade jewelry, and traveling with her family. Margaret will be remembered as a generous, forgiving, and kind soul who loved unconditionally. She worked earnestly and lived modestly, and never hesitated to help family and friends in need. A memorial gathering and lunch will be held Saturday, July 9 from 12pm-3pm at China Panda restaurant at 30517 Broadway Street in Lindstrom.
