Obituary of Gerald Jawish

 

Gerald “Jerry” Michael Jawish, 56, beloved husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at home on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from unexpected heart failure. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; son Justin (Amanda) Jawish; daughter Lindsey (Jacob) Hartman; five beautiful grandchildren- Leighton, Kinsley, Amelia, Colston and Lily; his parents, Raye Jeanne and Richard Jawish; sister Alissa (Will) Prichard and brother Larry Russell; he will also be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many friends.

Jerry was born on May 21st, 1967. He graduated from Columbia Heights High School in 1985. He and his young family moved to Coon Rapids, MN in 1992 where they participated in youth sports and many community programs and activities.

Jerry’s hobbies included fishing and playing golf, but his greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his five precious grandchildren. He told anyone within earshot about his wonderful family and their many adventures. He was a man who loved without reserve and gave of himself without hesitation.

To honor Jerry’s memory, we are holding a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Crooked Lake Park, Pavilion #1, 13180 Crooked Lake Blvd, Coon Rapids, MN 55448.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
