Obituary of George Robert Pennington

George Robert "Bob" Pennington, age 91, died at his home in Burnsville, MN, Friday, July 1, 2016. Bob will be remembered by his 3 sons; Michael (Kathleen) of Duluth, Philip (Joan) of Inver Grove Heights, David (Mary Jo) of Big Lake, his 2 daughters; Denyse (Ron) of Altoona, WI, Renee of Salt Lake City, UT; his 12 grandchildren; Sarah (TJ) Muir, Adam Schroeder, Anna (Eric) Ledebuhr, Megan (Curt) Moe, Aaron (Ashley) Pennington, Lauren (Chris) Bevan, Laura Schroeder, Casey Pennington, Kate (Kyle) Christopherson, BJ Pennington, Amy Pennington, Peter Harpending, and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jane (Olson) in 2015; his son-in-law, Henry Harpending, and his granddaughter, Jennifer Pennington. A brief committal service will be held at Fort Snelling cemetery Monday, July 18th at 12:15 for Bob and Betty where they will be interred together. Lunch will be held at Porter Creek Hardwood Grill at 14201 Burngarten Drive in Burnsville at 1:30. Remembrance and visitation will continue from 2:30-4:30. No flowers or memorials please.
