Earl "Bud" Murphy Obituary

Earl "Bud" Murphy, 91, of Two Harbors passed away on July 2, 2016.


He was born April 9, 1925.


After graduating from Two Harbors High School in 1942, he served in World War II on the USS Richard P. Leary (Naval Destroyer) from 1943 to 1946. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy he was employed by the DM&IR Railroad until his retirement in 1982.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" and Irene Murphy; sisters, Lorelle Gran, Evelyn Lisicich, Dorothy Raycraft; and daughter, Vickie Udovich.


He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marjorie; brother, Louis; sons, Kevin (Theresa) and Dan (Gail); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed.


There will be a private burial in his honor.
