Obituary of Brad J Kesselring

Brad J. Kesselring passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 53 with loving arms around him.

Brad is survived by his wife, Dee, two rescue dogs, Shelby and Mocha, and one rescue cat, Clementine. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Kathy Kesselring, and his angelic, awesome sister, Heather (Kelly) Hummel. In addition to his immediate family, Brad leaves behind a phenomenal extended family and countless friends. He is preceded in death by many, including rescue dogs Ella and Sadie, both of whom have greeted him with raucous barks and rapturous kisses.

During his time here, Brad found a way into everyone's heart. Brad loved his smoke show wife, his fur children, his motorcycle, his family, his many friends, craft beer, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hey Dude shoes, YouTube content (including college seminars about Physics and Calculus), long walks, bicycling, hiking, gorgeous sunsets, celestial stars, airplanes and any tricked-out Harley Davidson on the road. Brad hated onions, bad drivers, spilt cocktails, politics, being late, and being bored. Everything else he accepted with grace and humor.

He was strong as a bull, so it took multiple health issues to take him down. He fought to the end to stay with those he loved, but once assured they would be alright, he slipped away, at peace at last. Brad, we will always love you and we miss you already. The world has suffered a blow and is less bright for us, but we will do our best to live life as you did – to the fullest, with honor, strength and a devil-may-care attitude.

In lieu of flowers, please pray that the Steelers win their seventh Superbowl this year or donate to an animal rescue in Brad’s name. He would appreciate either or both.

Lastly, thank you to anyone who made him smile.
