Obituary of Jon R. Fish

Jon R. Fish, aged 61, of Hugo, MN, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2023. Born on October 17, 1961, in Minneapolis, MN, the first-born child of Richard and Yvonne (Fugleberg) Fish.

Jon grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, attending Mariner High School class of 1980. After High School, he enlisted in the US Navy. Shortly after joining the military, he married Lisa Kronberg, in March 1982. His naval service took him across the globe as a member of the USS Conolly (DD-979), granting him the chance to see the world.

Norfolk, Virginia, and Portland, Maine, became homes as he and Lisa welcomed two sons into their family. After completing his military service, Jon returned to White Bear Lake, raising his family and building a career. Jon worked at Deluxe Corporation, AT&T, ADP, and eventually in his final position at CDK Global as the Global Network Architecture team lead.

Beyond his professional success, Jon's true legacy lies in his devotion to family. Behind the facade of a serious and knowledgeable professional was a man of humor and playfulness, cherished by his family as a doting son, husband, father, brother, and uncle. His exceptional intelligence was matched only by his extraordinary sense of humor. Tragically, Jon's life was cut short by a heart attack.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; sons Adam and Jeremy (and daughter-in-law Karine Loobas); Father-in-law Ned Kronberg; sister Jodi; nephews Sam Rosenberger, Jack Rosenberger, and Charles Kronberg.

He's preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law Kay Kronberg; brother-in-law Nick Kronberg.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, United Cerebral Palsy, or the American Heart Association.

Jon R. Fish's impact on his family, friends, colleagues, and community will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
