Obituary of Christopher L. Wermter

Gordon resident Christopher L. Wermter died Monday, June 18 of a sudden cardiac event. He was born April 21, 1967 to Eva and Howard Wermter of South Range, WI. He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1985 and WI Indianhead Technical College in 1988. He worked at Phil's Auto Body in Stevens Point for 20 years before moving back to Gordon. Chris loved his family, Pam, his dogs, hard work and being in nature, hunting, fishing, canoeing and watching wildlife. His contentment with his life was notable. It's a lesson we can take from him. He was a jokester, teasing his sisters and laughing with them when they realized he'd taken them down the garden path. We loved him deeply, and are thankful we had him for fifty years and will miss him and his light forever. Chris was preceded in death by his father Howard Wermter and his brother Neal of South Range, WI. He is survived by his life partner Pam Lammi; mother Eva Wermter, Superior,WI; sisters Kathi, South Range, WI, Laurie, Madison, WI, Susan (Richard Schuster) Wermter, Minneapolis,MN; 2 nephews Aaron, active duty in the U.S. Navy, Nathaniel, Minneapolis, MN; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. No services are planned. Burial at Parkview Cemetery in Hawthorne, WI.
