Obituary of Melanie Oestreich

Melanie Oestreich, beloved wife, stepmother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29th, 2023. 

Born to Elaine and James Lichliter, Melanie lived a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. While she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the stories shared, the memories recounted, and the lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; devoted stepchildren, Christian and Lisa; and her cherished grandchildren, Lucille and Connor. Melanie also leaves behind a host of friends and loved ones who will miss her warmth, kindness, and enduring strength.

Melanie was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine, and her father, James Lichliter.

The Oestreich family wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Details about a memorial service celebrating Melanie's life will be announced in due course.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Animal Humane Society, an organization close to Melanie's heart.

Melanie's legacy of love, grace, and compassion will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
