Jeanette (Jet) Ruth Kroog passed away peacefully on July 12th, days before her 85th birthday. She is survived by Fred, her loving husband of 63 years; son, David (June) Kroog; daughters, Rebecca (Paul) Elbing and Rachael Kroog (Shannon Pierce); six grandchildren; Lindsay (Doug) Welch, Lisa (Conor) Reed, Robert Kroog, Rachel Elbing, Sarah Elbing and Michael Elbing; great grandchildren Danny and Maggie Welch and Oscar and Henry Reed; sister LouEtta Savoy and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 20th at 11 am at the Minnesota Masonic Home with visitation at 10:30 am. Jeanette was born in Fergus Falls, MN and attended Gustavus Adolphus College. She was an avid knitter of prayer shawls and newborn baby caps. Jet was also a lover of dogs, volunteering many hours hugging puppies at the Southeastern Guide Dog School. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to www.guidedogs.org
