Obituary of Vernon Paul Andersen

Vernon, 94, passed away on July 13, 2023 at Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park, MN.

Vernon loved to laugh and loved Christmas. Member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mound. Owner of V&S Jewelry Store. Cub Scout leader, police officer, butcher, member of Mound Fire Department (assistant chief), youth football, all conference football guard, Nazareth Hall student in St. Paul.

Survived by his wife, Shirely M. Andersen (married 74 years on August 13, 2023); children, Sharon (Randy), Paul (Laurel), Linda, Jeffrey, and David (Laura); 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Miner of California; and many nieces and nephews.

Service at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Mound, MN on Saturday, July 29th with a visitation at 1pm and the service at 2pm.
