Obituary of Gerald R. Nelson

Gerald R. “Gary” Nelson, age 95, of Minneapolis, went home to the Lord on June 18, 2018. Preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Evelyn (Krizan); wife of 4 years, Ruth (Groff); brother, Donald; son-in-law, David Thompson and granddaughter, Ann-Marie Thompson. Survived by daughters, Carol Thompson and Janet French; seven grandchildren and spouses; 14 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Road, Eden Prairie. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to PAMI Mission or charity of donor’s choice. Known for his love of Faith and Family, we rejoice with Gary as he is now with his Lord and Savior. Ephesians 3:20-21.
