Obituary of Thanie I. Petrich

Thanie I. Petrich, 93, of Superior, Wis. and formerly of Duluth, Minn passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Superior on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. She was born Nov. 5, 1922 in Wrenshall, Minn. Timothy and Nellie Pappelis. Thanie was preceded in death by her husband Francis, her brother Theo Pappelis, and sister Maria Maxim. She is survived by her children Sheldon (Phyllis) of Marinette, Wis., Sheila Petrovich of Duluth, Tim of Maryland, Joan (Larry) Johnson of Superior, and Gary (Karen) of Hayward, Wis.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Guy Pappelis. VISITATION: 10 a.m. gathering of family and friends until the 11 a.m. memorial service Monday, July 25 at United Presbyterian Church, 229 N. 28th St., Superior, Wis. Memorials are preferred to the Community Dinner Fund at United Presbyterian Church.
