Obituary of Delores Barber

DELORES "DOLLY" BARBER Delores "Dolly" Barber, 93, formerly of West Duluth, Minn. died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Diamond Willow in Proctor, Minn. She was born in Superior, Wis. on July 4, 1923 to Lillian and Arnold Thoen. Dolly grew up in Morgan Park, Minn. and lived most of her life in West Duluth. She married Leonard Barber and raised four children. Dolly was a homemaker and had various other jobs. She enjoyed crafts and needlework. Befitting her Fourth of July birthday, she was a little firecracker, at just under 5 feet tall. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Betty Lovstad. She is survived by her children Chuck (Judy) of Duluth, Jim (Julie) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Daryl (Patti) of Duluth, and Cheryl (Bob) Selvey of Columbus, Ohio; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. We would especially like to thank Diamond Willow, Lake Superior Unit for their wonderful loving care. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. VISITATION: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. celebration of Dolly's life Saturday, July 30 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
