After meeting Greg in HS, we remained lifelong friends through all his great business career and moves around the country. One time I called him and he answered while having coffee at the Louvre with Tessa. He was a curious guy and we enjoyed the discoveries of youth. One of those was Ralph Ginzberg's Avant Garde magazine, to which I subscribed, and to which he was very attracted. So whenever he was over to my house he was looking for the latest. We also ran around in the infamous family Opel, with the requisite "quarter for gas" as part of the deal. Several memorable trips to visit Greg and Tessa in Chicago and Atlanta, and a fun couples weekend at the Indy 500. And sailing on Lake Michigan and Lake Minnetonka was a special memory rivaled only by powerboating with him on Minnetonka. Greg was an important part of my life and helped to form it in his own way. A good way. I will miss him.
