Obituary of Kevin Orlyn Tollefson

TOLLEFSON, Kevin Orlyn, age 46, died at home, in his sleep on Thursday, July 28th, 2016. His health had been failing due to traumatic brain injuries and seizures for the last 4 1/2 years. Kevin is survived by sons, Taylor (Sarah)Tollefson of St. Michael, Nick Tollefson of Andover; their mother, Eileen Bergstrom (Troy); grandchildren, Easton (age 1/1/2) and Janayah (age 2); parents, Dennis and Janice Tollefson, of Brooklyn Center; brothers, Scott and Jeff Tollefson of Plymouth; best friend, Hanley Pesta of Andover; many relatives and friends. Kevin graduated from Park Center High School in 1988. He worked at Nordic Insulation for 14 years insulating houses. He had worked in woodworking before that and made beautiful cabinets and entertainment centers. He was an extremely hard worker and would offer to help anyone. Kevin loved his time at Coon Lake and riding his four-wheeler when healthy, going out on the lake in Hanley's boat and sitting around the campfire. He loved his 57 Chevy pickup truck, but never quite got it finished to his satisfaction. He enjoyed snowmobiling in earlier years. Kevin was so happy to have Nick with him that last week and proud of Taylor serving in the Marine Corps in Afghanistan. We will miss Kevin and are extremely sad that his life ended too early. A Celebration of Life will be held 1PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Coon Lake Community Center, 182 Forest Road, Wyoming, Minnesota with visitation a half of an hour before the service.
