Obituary of Otto Gotzsche

Gotzsche, Otto Otto died peacefully on May 31, 2023 at the age of 97 in Minneapolis. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Kirsten, and children: Michael (Mary Moench), Trina (James Lesnick) and Susan (Peter Mitchell); six grandchildren: Tom, Kimberly, Brian, Emily, Kirsten, and Maya; three great-grandchildren: Jack, Eleanor, and Matthew Otto. Otto was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1926, lived through the German occupation, and went on to graduate from the Copenhagen Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering. His love of travel and adventure quickly brought him to the United States (along with his very new wife). He eventually became a naturalized citizen and visited all 50 states (many in their camper van). He also visited all seven continents. After retirement, Otto became a very talented woodturner and excellent bridge player. Otto loved life to the fullest and was kind and easy going until his last days. Memorials preferred to The Danish American Center.
