Susan Mary Swift, age 57, of Eden Prairie, passed away July 29, 2016 from cancer. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Swift and brother, James Swift. Susan was a University of Minnesota college and law school graduate who worked as a lawyer for 8 years before leaving the practice to raise children. Wonderful mother and wife, avid cyclist, skier, gardener, cook and raconteur, Susan lived her life with passion and joy. Survived by husband, Jack Vatland; daughter, Quinn Vatland and son, Kieran Vatland; mother, Jeanne Swift Fitzimons; siblings: Michael Swift, Jill Swift and Patrick Swift, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Gifts to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society preferred in lieu of flowers.
