Obituary of Phyllis Mabel Wurtz

Died at home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at age 100. 

Preceded in death by husband, David Wurtz; parents, Selma and John Sater; 5 brothers, Vernon, Robert, Corlyss, Jack and Richard; 3 sisters, June Hodges, Leatrice Hunt and Sandra Franck; son-in-law, Rollie Christopherson. 

Dearly loved by surviving children, Robert Wurtz, Virginia (David) Bender, Stephanie Christopherson, Allen (Judy) Wurtz, Sharon (Greg) Englund, Sheila Wurtz and Michael (Mel) Wurtz; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; as well as sisters, Coralie Ritchie, Diane Boelter, Marylyn Griffiths, Darla Peterson and Ruth Ann Barge; and many nieces and nephews.  

A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held on her 101st birthday on Sunday, June 11, 2023, 1:00 pm at Cremation Society of MN, 4343 Nicollet Avenue South, Mpls. MN 55409. Visitation starting at 12 noon. Reception to follow service.
