Obituary of Kathleen Elizabeth Lambert

On May 10, 2023, Kathleen Elizabeth (Murphy) Lambert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at 76. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Born on September 23rd to Thomas and Margaret Murphy, Kathleen, fondly known as "Kathie," was the second oldest of eight siblings. She grew up in a close-knit family and cherished the bonds they shared throughout her life.

Kathie received her education at the Academy of Holy Angels and graduated with an unwavering passion for knowledge. In May 1966, she joined Thomas Lambert in holy matrimony, embarking on a journey filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Together, they were blessed with three children: Thomas, Natalie, and Tammy.

For many years, Kathie dedicated her talents and compassionate nature to the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis. Her exceptional work ethic and warm-heartedness endeared her to colleagues and patients, forming numerous cherished friendships.

Outside of her professional life, Kathie and Tom discovered solace and joy at their beloved lake home in Longville. The tranquil retreat became a source of countless cherished memories and a testament to their enduring love. Upon retiring, they made the lake home their permanent residence, savoring the serenity and beauty of their surroundings.

Kathie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Her loving children survive her: Thomas Lambert of Kansas City, MO; Natalie (Stephan) Martynow of Burnsville, MN; Tammy (Zachary) Johnson of Kansas City, MO. Her grandchildren, Brittany (David) Symanitz and their children Austin and Aubree, Sydney (Eric) Johnson and their children Sophia, Elaina, and Brecken, Kaylee Martynow, Parker Johnson, Shanen Johnson, Paul Martynow, Brennen Lambert, and Brayden Lambert, will forever cherish the memories they shared with their beloved grandmother.

She is also survived by her cherished siblings: Mary Margaret Murphy, Patricia (Steven) Dinsmore, Jane (David) Nygaard, Annie Prior, James (Pamela) Murphy, and Geraldine (David) Meyer, whose lives were forever enriched by Kathie's presence. Additionally, her many nieces and nephews will deeply miss her as well as her many friends.

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Murphy, her loving husband, Thomas Lambert, her brother, Thomas Murphy, and her niece, Jennifer Lambert. Though they have passed on, their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

A memorial service to celebrate Kathie’s life will be Monday June 5, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 4625 West 125th Street Savage, MN 55378. Visiting will begin at 10am, Service at 11 am, luncheon to follow at 11:30 am. providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects, share cherished memories, and find solace in one another's company.

Kathleen Elizabeth Lambert will forever be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love, and the profound impact on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
