Obituary of Josephine (Barilla) Falbo

Josephine passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023 at the age of 91. Born June 4, 1931 in St. Paul, MN, she was the loving daughter of Dominic and Mary (Yekaldo) Barilla. Josephine was an exceptional Italian cook and enjoyed crafts and crochet.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Falbo, daughters Janice, Jeannine, and Jennifer Falbo, sons in law Dan Boden and Stanley Solnick, grandsons Delmar Strehlow Jr, Benjamin Strehlow, Nathan Boden, and Stephen Anthony Falbo. She is preceded in death by sisters Sue Sanchelli, Carmella Mancini, Jennie Mechtel, Palmina, Dora Dalto, Mary Ann Moore, brothers Fred, Anthony Sr., and Dominic Barilla Jr. She is survived by her sister Violet O’Gary, daughters Julianne Solnick, Anne (Delmar) Strehlow, Mary Boden, and son, Louis (Paige) Falbo, grandchildren Joseph (Brooke) Falbo, Kristin Falbo, James (Crystal) Falbo, Matthew Falbo, A. J. Strehlow, Samantha (Michael) Dalman, Amy (Benjamin) Sagstetter, and Nicholas Bodin, great grandchildren Mateo, Allysa, Anthony, Jaxon, Winsdae & Micah. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend many thanks to Woodbury Senior Living and Our Lady of Peace Hospice for their compassionate care during this difficult time. A grave site service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday May 25, 2023 at Union Cemetery 2505 Minnehaha Av. E., Maplewood MN. All family and friends are welcome. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
