Obituary of Cynthia Marie Vaughan

Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Vaughan, 57, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on April 23rd, 2023, after a heroic battle with lung cancer for almost three years.

She was born on December 14th, 1965 to Marilyn and Gordon “Gordy” Yeazle. 

She traveled the country living in Montana, Minnesota, Texas, and New York. Cindy loved all things creative, purple, and fun. You could often find her talking about the latest movies, painting models and figurines, working on a craft, playing a game or simply having the best time with her family and friends. She can be remembered at hot air balloon festivals, concerts, cookouts, and road trips. She cared and loved more than most and was wildly supportive of those she loved. 

Cindy was previously married to Scott Holmquist and Robert J. Graetz Sr. She was also married to Thomas Vaughan in 2010 until his passing in 2015. 

She was predeceased by Robert J. Graetz Sr., Gordon “Gordy” Yeazle, and Thomas Vaughan. 

She is survived by, her mother Marilyn Yeazle; her Uncle Deno, her Aunt Alane, her sister, Shirley; her brother, Michael, her Cousin, Sandra (Homer) and countless other beloved family members and close friends.

Her beloved children also survive her, Erik Holmquist, Keith Holmquist, Robert (Melissa) Graetz, her granddaughter, Ava, as well as her Vaughan step-children and grandchildren. 

We want to send a special thanks to all of the healthcare workers, support staff, family members, friends, and special ones that supported Cindy throughout her fight with cancer. She remained positive and in good spirits up until the end, and it was you that kept her in laughter, love, and light. 

There will be a Celebration of Cindy’s life on May 27th from 2p-6p CT at 1714 Ponderosa Ln, New Richmond, WI 54017.
