Robert Lezer

Obituary of Robert Douglas Lezer

Robert “ Bob” Douglas Lezer was born June 10, 1983 to Doug and Melissa Lezer in Minneapolis, MN.

Bob was an exceptional family man who loved his wife, boys, parents and entire family wholeheartedly. His smile could light up a room and his joy was infectious.

After graduating high school Bob went to Master’s Commission a missions and discipleship program in Concord, North Carolina where he met the love of his life Juamil. Bob also attended North Central University, Northwestern University and Crown College where he pursued his passion to become a youth pastor.

After quickly being accepted as member of Juamil’s family thanks to his wit and charm on August 14, 2004 Bob and Juamil were married in Dorado, Puerto Rico. They later settled down in Buffalo, Minnesota where they began to build their family.

After serving as a youth pastor at Riverwood Covenant Church and working for others for many years Bob started his own business, Helping Hand Home Services. Bob’s entrepreneurial spirit, outgoing personality and servant heart made this a successful business venture for him.

On May 3, 2023 Bob entered into the arms of Jesus after tragically dying in a car accident on his way home from work; he was 39 years old. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Juamil whom he absolutely adored and his sons Gavin, Ashton and Blaine whom he was completely dedicated to. His parents Doug and Melissa Lezer, brother Chris Lezer and wife Shannon, nephew Kaiden and niece Lily, grandmothers Betty O’Leary and Allene Lindquist, many cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ken Lezer, Wendell Lindquist, Stan and Joyce Erickson, uncle and aunt Dan and Meg Lezer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10th (on what would have been his 40th birthday) at 11:00 am at Westbridge Community Church 11600 Frankfort Pkwy NE St Michaels, MN. Church will open at 9:30 am for visitation.
