Kathryn Louise Sathre, age 63, passed away peacefully on May 6th after a courageous battle with cancer.  
 
Kathryn was born May 4th 1960 in Minneapolis, MN, the youngest of three children to Kenneth and Joanne Hansen.
 
Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Joanne Hansen and brother Terry Hansen. She is survived by her husband,
Chris Sathre, sister Kim Walstrom (Mike), many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
 
Kathryn and her family were avid campers and enjoyed their annual excursions way up north with the Clubhouse group. Growing up, she spent much of
her time with her best friend Rosie. The two were inseparable.
 
Kathryn graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to earn her nursing degree from Hennepin County Technical College.
Kathryn worked her entire career as a nurse, most recently at Park Nicollet Clinic in Minneapolis. She cared for her patients with the utmost
professionalism and kindness. She married Chris Sathre in September 1985, they enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with
their friends and family. They hosted many camping trips with their nieces and nephews taking them to Wisconsin Dells and Minnesota State Parks.
 
Kathryn enjoyed time with her many pets over the years, gardening, camping, canasta, and antiquing trips. She had a secret family recipe and every year
she searched for the perfect cucumbers at local farmer's markets to can pickles. She was so kindhearted and loving, one day she came home from work with
two kittens she rescued from a construction site.
 
Visitation will be Saturday May 20, 2023 at 1:00PM, with a service at 2:00PM at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Avenue  
South, Minneapolis, MN 55409.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family will present any donations to the American Cancer Society or Animal Humane Society in her name.
