Obituary of Maryanne Delores Escobar

Maryanne Delores (Nelson) Escobar Age 83 Born and raised in Saint Paul, returning there to live with Albert after raising a family in Oakdale and Cottage Grove. On June 21, 2018 (her mother’s birthday) peacefully surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by parents Mary and Lawrence Nelson, brother Lawrence. Survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Albert, children Barbara Manthey (Brian) Janice Escobar (John Lee) James Escobar (Lyndsey), grandchildren Cara Pearson (Andrew), Blair Manthey Sevcik (Michael), Andre Escobar and Gianna Escobar, and great grandchildren Lucy and Jack Pearson and Logan and Sawyer Sevcik, sisters Sandra Collard (Keith) and Linda Gall (Richard), sister-in-law Mary Lou Adelmann, many nieces and nephews and friends. Our Scrabble Queen, lover of books, pontoon lounger, lucky slot machiner, baker of lemon bars, eager North Shore visitor, rapt listener and harmonizer of old time country music. She was a fast-fingered medical transcriptionist who never shied away from email, instagram, Facebook, FaceTime and texting. Family was incredibly important to her and her love and support will be greatly missed. We will miss you, Mom, with all of our hearts and strive to make you proud. Our family circle has grown smaller but tighter. Thank you, Maryanne, for all you have done for us. Special thanks to Amy at Health East Hospice and Colleen, Bruce, Elizabeth, Angela and Mary at The Pillars Hospice for extraordinary care and support.
