Obituary of Geraldine Stoffel

Geraldine (Geri) Bruns Stoffel of Rosemount, MN beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on March 19, 2023. Preceded in death by her loving husband Larry. She is survived by her children Diane, Mark (Susan), Joel (Tracy) and John (Liz). Grandsons Thomas (Jenna) and Michael. Sister Maxine Moran and many family members and friends.

Geri was born in Victoria, MN to Clarence and Frances Bruns.

Geri met her husband Larry on a hayride. The two married on July 18th, 1953, in Minneapolis. The loving couple made their permanent home in Richfield, MN where they raised their four children. Geri and Larry were married 50 years before Larry's passing.

During the early years, Geri was a model for Betty Crocker. She was an election judge for the city of Richfield for 25 plus years.  Geri also worked in the Richfield school district, helping and teaching students needing special attention and guidance. Later, she became a jeweler and delighted in helping others find that perfect piece of jewelry. Geri was an avid New York times crossword puzzle enthusiast, reader, enjoyed bird watching, and a Minnesota Wild fan.

Geri was a loving, outgoing and strong-willed lady. She treasured her children and grandsons and was immensely proud of their accomplishments. Geri volunteered and attended endless school and sport activities. Geri made the family’s Christmas' special.

A special thanks to her neighbors and friends for the kindness, help and love you showed Geri. Our family will be forever grateful. She adored all of you! Geri will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

A celebration of Geri’s life will be held on Saturday May 20th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 14700 Bloomfield Way, Rosemount, MN. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
