Obituary of Thomas Dewey Gilbertson

Thomas Gilbertson, age 71 of Brooklyn Park, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2023. Preceded in by parents Firchoff (Fred) Francis and Eleanore America. Tom retired from Osseo Middle School in 2018. Previously employed by Northwest Airlines and Chicago-Northwestern railroad. He was a kind and generous sole, loved by everyone who met him. Tom was a jack-of-all trades who could fix anything. Lifelong Packers fan. Enjoyed spending time at the houseboat with family and friends, fishing on the river, and listening to music. Tom and Kelli would have celebrated their 30th Anniversary this summer. Survived by wife, Kelli (Waalk); daughter, Colleen (Mike) Green; son, Kirby; granddaughters, Brianna & Natalie; sisters Barbara Conner and Darlene Reed; and his fuzzy babies, Jojo and Buzzy; many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Saturday May 13 at 11am. Visitation Friday May 12 4-8pm and 1-hour prior to service at First Memorial Chapel Cremation Society of MN, Brooklyn Park.
