Obituary of Corinne Elaine Bradford
Corinne Elaine Bradford passed away April 23rd, 2023 peacefully in her sleep at the age of 96. She was born On August 27, 1926 in Whitehall, WI. When her family sold their farm, her family moved to Morgan Park, MN where her father Elvie Fagerness and Katheryn (Pederson) seeked employment with US Steel in Duluth, MN. Corinne attended Morgan Park schools, and later was employed by the Duluth phone company as a switchboard operator. Later, her family moved to Gary MN where most of her family already resided.
One beautiful day in 1945, she and her friends were hanging out at the malt shop on the west end of Duluth, when this handsome guy stopped by on his 1940 Indian motorcycle. Lloyd Bradford was fresh out of active service from WW2...and it was love at first sight. They were married October 5th, 1946 and moved to Minneapolis where Lloyd pursued a career starting with the John Deere Companies. They then started to raise a family, and were blessed with 3 lovely children...Wayne, Elayne, and Wes. Corinne loved nature and gardening was one of her passions, she also loved embroidery and was always making something for herself, her friends, or family. She also prided herself in taking the best care of all her kids and making sure the house was in tip-top shape. Later in life, she worked as a food service employee for Super Valu and later at Sam's Club.
After retirement, Corinne and Lloyd ventured down to Yuma, AZ where they spent over 30 years enjoying the warm weather, and reuniting with many friends and family. Corinne Bradford was preceded in death by her parents Elvie and Katheryn Fagerness of Duluth, husband Lloyd Bradford, siblings Odell (Shirley) Fagerness, and Charles (Loretta) Fagerness, and grandchild Corinne Bradford Bescoby. She is survived by her children Wayne (Linda) Bradford, Elayne Bradford, and Wesley (Linda) Bradford, grandchildren Justin (Stacie) Bradford, Amanda (Scott) Ginkel, Spencer Bradford, Derek and Dallas Nelson, and Alex Bradford. She was also blessed with 8 beautiful great-grandchildren.
Corinne is resting at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, and a celebration of life will be arranged by the immediate family.
