Obituary of Alton B Parker Jr

Alton B. Parker Jr. passed away on April 9 at Benedictine Living Community in Duluth, MN at the age of 76.

Born on June 5, 1946 in New Ulm, MN, he was the son of Alton B. Parker Sr. and Mildred Parker (Chrisope). 

Alton proudly served in the Army, where he was honored with an Air Medal for his distinguished service in the Vietnam War.

He had a great passion for music and loved spending time with his family and friends. 

Alton was preceded in death by his parents Alton B. Parker Sr. and Mildred Parker (Chrisope), Son Dirk Parker, Sisters Hazel Carpenter, and Mary Brady, Brothers JamesParker, Charly Parker, and John Parker.

He is survived by his Daughter Kimberly (Kenneth) Surbaugh, and Jeana (David) Miller. Grandchildren Justin Surbaugh, Aurora-Rose and Temperance Miller. Brother Floyd (Tom) and Carlene Parker, Virginia (Ginger) Pearson and Sister-in-law Bonnie (James) Parker.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Benedictine Living Community, 935 Kenwood Avenue, Duluth, MN, followed by interment at 3:00 p.m.at Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery, 4777 US-53, Saginaw, MN.
