Obituary of Donna June Kortgard

Donna June Kortgard died peacefully at Good Samartian Society in Waconia on June 23, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born March 25,1931 in Renville, MN. Daughter of Edna Blanche and Rudolph Grabow. Baptized Bethy Ev. Lutheran Church Renville, MN. Confirmed Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Renville, MN. She married Morris Kortgard on April 17, 1949 at Mpls Central Lutheran Church. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Waconia since 1956 when she and Morris moved to waconia with their two daugthers Sandra and Sherry. She worked at Honeywell for many years and retired early at the age of 55. She stayed very active working part time and was involved in volunteer work at Waconia ridgeview Medical Center as well as delivering Meals On Whells. She was a member of various church organization at trinity Lutheran Churhc and a member of the Waconia VFW Post 5462. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Blanche and Rudolph Grabow; husband, Morris Kortgard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman (Delores) Grabow and Arlo (Helen) Grabow; grandson, Arin Krohn. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Sandra and Larry Krohn of Jordan, MN, Sherry and David Seifert of Brainerd, MN; grandchidlren, Ryan Krohn, Amy (Pat) Rademacher, Tom (Amy) Kortisses, Matt Seifert; great grandchildren, Kyla, Cade, Austin, Jacob, Olivia, Trent, and Hayleee, as well as many nieces and nephews. Celebration of life service will be on June 30 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waconia, MN. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Minnesota. The family of Donna would like to give special thanks to the staff of Good Samaritan for the wonderful care they provided for Donna during her stay. Also to Hospice for their support and guidance through this difficult time.
