Obituary of Glenn Wayne Peterson

Glenn Wayne Peterson Age 90, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018 at his home. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Ali and his sister, Barbara Lewis. He is survived by his daughters, Cher (Jon) Erickson of Charlotte, NC and Pam (David) Coughlin of Mesa, AZ; granddaughters, Stephanie (Steve) Doyle, Beth (Nolan) Beeson and Tessa Coughlin and great grandchildren, Adam, Savannah, Sophia and Max. He is also survived by his sister, Janice Beiseker; nephew, Tim (Sue) Beiseker and niece, LeAnn (Tom) Tovsen. He was born February 22, 1928, in Renville, MN to Glenn and Lila Peterson. After graduating high school, he attended St. Thomas and served a stint in the U.S. Navy. He began working for International Harvester in St. Paul and his successful career in sales management led him and Ali to make friends in Moorhead, Sioux Falls, Chicago and Bettendorf, IA before returning to Minneapolis-St. Paul, where he was the regional sales / manager in the very same office where he began his career. After retirement, Glenn and Ali enjoyed their retirement in Mesa, AZ. His schedule in retirement included a little golf, a lot of bridge, classical concerts and an early “happy hour.” Glenn loved all sports and considered the sports section the most important part of the newspaper. We will always remember his quick wit, humor and storytelling. Glenn was a loving father and a true patriarch of his extended family. His life will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, August 4th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S., Edina. Visitation 10 am. Private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. His family expresses their deep gratitude to the Fairview Hospice for their excellent care.
