Obituary of Sylvia Marie Silliman

SILLIMAN (Davidson), Sylvia Marie, age 100, of Roseville, passed away on September 14, 2016. She was born in Westby, Wisconsin in her home on Oct. 10, 1915. She grew up on a farm near Lanesboro, MN. Graduated from Winona State Teachers College, Class of 1939. Started her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse near Utica and completed her career as a Junior High School English Teacher in Rochester, MN. She loved nature hikes, time at the family cabin, and being with her family. Preceded in death by husband, John; parents and siblings. She will be deeply missed by her sons, John, Jr. (Jan), David (Mary Lee), Paul (Kathy); grandchildren, Jennifer Silliman (Ross McIntyre), John Silliman III, Tom Silliman, Amy Wonnell (Jon), Ann Marma (John), Ben Silliman; many great grandchildren, relatives and good friends. Celebration of Life 11am Saturday, Oct. 15th at New Life Presbyterian Church, 965 Larpenteur Ave W., Roseville with visitation 1 hr before service. In lieu of flowers, family will accept memorials for the church and the Minnesota Conservation Volunteer magazine.
