Obituary of Robert C. Hodgdon
Robert C. Hodgdon, 91, of St. Louis Park/Golden Valley passed away Sept. 14, 2016. Survived by his loving partner of 28 years, Yvonne Bates; Preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Mary. Surviving children-Scott, Gregg (Karen), and Roberta (Mark Telshaw), grandchildren-Alex and Nicole, stepmother-Irene Hodgdon, and siblings-Al Hodgdon and Ellie Shannon. Bob graduated from Owatonna HS in 1943 and joined the US Navy Air Corp. He worked his way up at F & M Savings Bank-Mpls. to become the head of Bldg. Mgmt. and Security. From 1977-78 he served as President of the American Management Society. Bob was a gifted musician and performed with his own dance band, “Bobby Clinton and the Vibratones.” He volunteered for Big Brothers of America. Bob loved his family, fishing, pheasant hunting, and tennis. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina. Visitation is one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Parkinsons Disease Foundation.
